Positive: Safety. Closed parking. Right next to a Pub. Ten minutes drive to everything. Negative: The smell. It was mouldy it even smells of my shawl. The floors were icecold and damp.

Overall the accommodation was good for the price, but was let down by very soft mattresses Positive: The sitting room is very spacious. Requiring guests to be quiet after 10pm is very helpful in allowing others in neighbouring apartments to sleep. Ample parking. Kitchen had enough to cook basic meals, which is all I wanted. Negative: One of the beds was incredibly low. I use a wheelchair, so the height of a bed is important. The second bed was a more normal height, however once I was in bed the mattress sunk dramatically. I don't recall ever being on such a soft squidgy mattress, which was challenging to get out of and gave me a sore back. The other bed had a poor quality mattress and the springs could be felt when sleeping on it. The apartment was described as wheelchair accessible throughout, but I was unable to get into the kitchen due to it's small size and lack of turning space. The bathroom photo makes the bathroom seem much bigger than it is, and again not big enough to turn round in a chair. I was informed there was one small step into the apartment. Thankfully I brought both a small and a medium ramp, as there was a larger step down onto the patio before the small step up. Finally, the room which has the less-bad bed required both bedside tables to be moved out of the room in order to shift the bed over, which then enabled me to get my wheelchair next to the bed. There were various air fresheners plugged in, which was unpleasant. This was likely to try and mask the damp issue, but opening windows and leaving them on the latch throughout the day improved the freshness of the apartment significantly.

Decent place but will avoid it next time Positive: Overall, the place was good to stay. It was clean, and the sofa in the drawing room as well as the beds were comfy. The locality was peaceful and while the place is on the main road, didn't hear any traffic noise. Negative: Couple of things, while we stayed for 2 nights, the message to check-out started the moment we checked-in! It was really irritating to be constantly reminded that we need to check out by a certain time else there will be additional charge, letting the guest know once during booking and then on the day of checkout is fine but to keep sending multiple reminders throughout the stay sends the message that you really did not want the guest to stay at your place in the first place. Also, for a family of four staying around 48 hours at the place and they are provided with only 1 partially used tissue roll and 20 ml bottles of bodywash/shampoo! While I did not mind about bodywash/shampoo as we carry our own, keeping only one tissue roll (or 3/4 in my case), in my opinion that was a cheap stake move. When queried with the host, the response was a blunt "you only get for free what is there". I had to rush out at 9 in the night to buy additional tissues! You are charging well for the stay and can definitely afford to keep at least 2 or 3 rolls for usage, guess this should be thought about. If not, then clearly state on the booking page the amount of toiletries that will be provided so that guests come well prepared when staying at the property.

Holes in the wall, repaired very badly throughout the property. The cheap laminate flooring had gaps throughout the property The extractor fan in the bathroom didn't work.We had to wash all of the kitchen utensils before we used them, the potato masher had dried potato on it,we had to clean the cooker hob before we used it, the floor below the oven was disgusting, there was a bad smell coming from the sink and the sink plug didn't seal so we had to clean utensils under the tap with the water running. We opened the cupboard leading into the property and was shocked at what we saw.... disgusting, the front door was filthy dirty, outside the property there were some dodgy characters lurking about so didn't feel safe sitting outside. One of the chair legs was broken, when i sat on it i nearly fell off,in general the furniture is cheap. We put up with it as long as we could but came home a day early. We contacted the host on several occasions, all we got back was 'thankyou for your understanding' and maintenance have been informed .Early every morning somebody was carrying out property repairs, hammering and banging etc.We left this apartment in a much cleaner condition than when we arrived.
